We are pleased to announce the expansion of our sales organization with the addition of two new colleagues, further strengthening the support to our customers worldwide.
Welcome Alan Grotnes – Sales & Project Manager North America
Alan Grotnes, a well-known name in the steel drum packaging industry, will be joining us as “Sales & Project Manager North America”.
Alan, ever since his youth, has been immersed in the steel drum and packaging industry with Atlanta Grotnes Machine Company. He worked his way up from the shop floor through engineering, sales, project management, service, and ownership, bringing us over two decades of hands-on industry knowledge. After the AG-business was sold in 2019, the opportunity for Alan to come back in the business with Merco Machines was one we both couldn’t pass up.
Starting August 10th and based out of Atlanta GA, Alan will become your direct point of contact for anything related to the Merco Machines equipment, whether that’s new projects, spare parts, service, or just a conversation about your thoughts and needs. Alan will take contact with you at the soonest and is looking forward making meaningful and lasting relationships.
Welcome Jordy Van Parys – Internal Sales Engineer
Jordy Van Parys, graduated as Bioscience Engineer, will be joining us as “Internal Sales Engineer”.
Over the last year, Jordy collaborated with the University of Ghent on a Master Thesis about “Delabeling & depainting of steel drums” As he became closely involved and deeply interested in the packaging industry, he took the opportunity as a young engineer to start his career with Merco Machines.
